Name: Arkham Moss
Gender: Male
Age: 35 (by appearance, anyhow)
Personality: To himself, he is dour, cynical, sarcastic. However, when dealing with others, especially those he has never met, he possesses very formal, courtly manners. He's been travelling all his life, and has seen many worlds, so not much can surprise him anymore. Still, there remains some of the inquisitive spirit that led him to devote his life to aquiring obscure knowledge. He has a rather dark personality, often laughing softly to himself at jokes no one else sees. When he speaks, which is not often, he speaks quietly and never without purpose.
Appearance: Tall and gaunt, with long black hair tied into back at the shoulders, and purple eyes. Wears a long dark cloak over red leather scale armour. Two scabbards, one long and empty, and one short with a knife, rest at his hip. He might be considered handsome, but for something unsettling about him. On his forhead there is a faint scar in the form of a kanji symbol. Numerous shallow scars crisscross his arms, the markings of a seasoned kanji bloodmage.
History: Arkham has wandered the worlds for his entire life. Since a young age, he was trained in the use of magic. Never knowing his father, Arkham was raised by a wandering o-bakamono ogre mage after his mother died. Shadow Magic came naturally to him, a heritage of the family his guardian would always say. He was then trained in kanji magic, a very structured and disciplined practice compared to Arkham's natural abilities with Shadow Magic. Arkham travelled with the ogre for many years, relying on a quick wit and well as his magical talent to survive the demon-mage's company. Despite travelling across countless worlds, Arkham never found another who wielded the shadows as he did. In time, however, they discovered a tomb containing the remains of one of the ancient ones. Sensing a familiar magic pulsing from the tomb, he descended into the earth. It was there, drawn on a mural on the wall, that he discovered the map of the shadow bridges between the worlds. In the tomb itself he discovered three items; a book, a dagger, and sword. The book, though it showed no signs of its great age, appeared completely blank. The dagger had a crystal blade, but pulsed from within with shadow magic. The long blade, shaped like a katana, had a line of powerful kanji written down its length. Arkham stayed in the tomb for a fortnight, studying the artifacts and the writings on the walls. When he left once more, the ogre mage was gone. That was the last time Arkham saw his childhood guardian. Arkham then began his pursuit of any knowledge relating to the ancient ones, powerful demonic entities that had an innate ability with shadow magic. He searched the worlds for stories or artifacts of these beings, collecting knowledge. In his travels, he witnessed the Heartless; destruction of worlds, and though his resented the possible loss of knowledge, he never came into direct conflict. However, he has gained the emnity of a being known as Aleisel, a powerful nature spirit. It was in conflict with this beast that he lost his sword, although he took its eye in return, which he now wears around his neck.
Weapons: A small crystal dagger, usually used to draw kanji symbols for his magic.
Powers: Significant kanji and shadow mage. Has a penchant for choking people to death with their own shadows. He also does not age as humans do, often causing his to comment on the briefness of human life.
Other Info: Irrational hatred to kami and spirit folk
