(ooc) Due to an accidental deleting of thread, the "Exploring of ruins" thread is being continued here. Sorry
(ic) The sun was setting as they reached the cliffs, rising sheerly from the desert floor. Crystal water spilled from its heights, forming the river below.
"We have arrived," Arkham said. A large pool had formed at the base of the waterfall, and the sand around it was cool and comfortable. Stones had been arranged into a rough camp site. "You may spend the night here. The water is clean and pure, and I think we may risk a fire."
Arkham crouched over a small pit that looked to house a fire, yet there was no ash or charcoal to be seen. Instead, he picked up a small stone. The fading light caught on a series of worn markings carved into the stone. Arkham ran his thumb across the blade of his dagger, then smeared the slight trickle of blood across the stone and set it down. Almost immediately, flames flickered across the stone. The fire was small, low enough to cook on, but brought a pleasant sensation of warmth to the damp air.
Arkham stood and walked towards the cliff face. A slight recess at the edge of the waterfall hinted at a longer passage that disappeared behind the curtain of liquid. "Eat, and enjoy your rest. Watch should be kept tonight, for even in this blasted wasteland there are things that hunt even the Heartless. Please, do not stray far beyond this site, and do not follow me. I shall return before dawn."

Veritas sighed as he watched Arkham with the fire. Yes, a nice touch, the knight fought. Though he made his move over towards the water first, crouching down to dip his hand into the cool liquid, having a sip. He nodded and laughed softly, moving away from the water's edge.
He took his time at the fire, undoing his cloak and his swordbelt, setting that down, though he drew his knife from its sheath. Next he unbuttoned his overtunic, slowly peeling it down over his skin, revealing the battered plated leather beneath. He then loosened that and slid it off over his head, leaving himself in a stained shirt, which was tossed off next. The battered torso of the knight was visible, and he moved over towards the water, to begin cleaning all his cuts and wounds.
